8 Consider what you can learn from the experience of a young brother named Olaf. * His classmates pressured him to engage in immoral conduct. When he explained that Jehovah’s Witnesses live by the Bible’s high moral standards, some girls in his class took this as a challenge and tried to persuade him to have sex with them. But Olaf stood firm for what is right. And this was not the only pressure he faced. Olaf says: “My teachers tried to convince me that I should pursue higher education because it is prestigious. They told me that without it, I would not succeed in life.” What helped Olaf to resist such pressure? He mentions: “I developed close relationships with those in my congregation. They became like a family to me. I also started to study the Bible more seriously. The more deeply I studied, the more I became convinced that this was the truth. As a result, I was determined to serve Jehovah.”
Olaf's classmates: '' Olaf, even though you have never held hands or kissed a girl, we want you to engage in immoral conduct.''
Olaf : '' I'm a Jehovah's Witness. I will only date fellow female Jehovah's Witnesses, and in due time only have sex when I get married to a fellow believer.''
Girls in his class: '' How much does anyone want to bet that we can get Olaf in bed, just like Samson in the old testament had lust in heart and eventually visited prostitutes and had an affair with Delilah?''
russia invades ukraine.
in the early morning hours of february 24, 2022, russia began a military invasion of ukraine, despite the efforts of world leaders to avoid war.
how might this military conflict affect the world?
Of course, the JWs have always been wishing for the end to come.
Retirement and we were promised to not get old and die.
I was a young teen in 1974. The frenzy that the world would end in 1975 was real. I was told that if I wasn't baptized before Armageddon arrived, I wouldn't survive and make it in the new system. I got baptized in the summer of 1974.
Brothers were selling their businesses. They went out in full time service to preach the remaining time we had. 1975 came and went. Many brothers and sisters never came back. They were disappointed and couldn't deal with the consequences of being lied to by the Watchtower Society.
Then after the disappointment of 1975, the Watchtower Society wrote a Watchtower article blaming the members and not the Watchtower Society on the 1975 debacle.
Here is the thread I started 15 years ago on the Watchtower article where they blamed everyone but themselves:
Clearly, Jesus was concerned that his followers too could become distracted by Satan's world, even to the point that they might "return to the things behind." (Luke 17:22, 31) And, indeed, this has happened to some Christians. For years such ones longed for the day when Jehovah will put an end to this wicked world. However, when Armageddon did not occur by the time they expected, ` they became disheartened. Their confidence in the nearness of Jehovah's day of judgment faded. They slowed down in the ministry and gradually became so involved in the mundane matters of life that little time was left for spiritual matters. (Luke 8:11, 13, 14) In time, they `returned to the things behind'--how sad!
when all is quiet on the world scene, the jdubs say see!
they are about to to declare peace and security!
when tensions are high the jdubs point to the pushing of the kon and the kos and say see bible prophecy is being fulfilled!.
The whole Jehovah's Witness religion was built on the ''end times.'' The Watchtower Society became/is a ''one trick pony.''

In the early morning hours of February 24, 2022, Russia began a military invasion of Ukraine, despite the efforts of world leaders to avoid war. How might this military conflict affect the world? The secretary-general of the United Nations, António Guterres, said a few days ago: “The price in human suffering, destruction and damage to European and global security is too high to contemplate.”
Jesus Christ foretold a time when “nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom.” (Matthew 24:7) Read the article “What Is the Sign of ‘the Last Days,’ or ‘End Times’?” to see how the Bible shows that wars today fulfill Jesus’ prophecy.
The Bible book of Revelation depicts warfare as a rider who is seated on “a fiery-colored horse” and who takes “peace away from the earth.” (Revelation 6:4) Read the article “The Four Horsemen—Who Are They?” to find out how this prophecy applies to warfare today.
The book of Daniel foretold a rivalry between “the king of the north” and “the king of the south.” (Daniel 11:25-45) Watch the video Fulfilled Prophecy—Daniel Chapter 11 to learn why Russia and its allies can be identified as the king of the north. *
Revelation also describes “the war of the great day of God the Almighty.” (Revelation 16:14, 16) However, this is not a war between nations such as we now observe. Read the article “What Is the Battle of Armageddon?” to find more information about that future event.
The Bible says that God will bring “an end to wars throughout the earth.” (Psalm 46:9) Read the article “A Real Hope for a Better Tomorrow” to learn more about the future that God promises.
Jesus taught his followers to pray for God’s Kingdom to come. (Matthew 6:9, 10) That Kingdom is the heavenly government that will accomplish God’s will for the earth, and God’s will includes world peace. To learn how the Kingdom can benefit you, watch the video What Is God’s Kingdom?
There are more than 129,000 of Jehovah’s Witnesses living in Ukraine. Like the Witnesses in every other country, they imitate Jesus by remaining politically neutral and refusing to take part in war. (John 18:36) Worldwide, Jehovah’s Witnesses continue to declare the “good news of the Kingdom” as the solution to mankind’s problems, including war. (Matthew 24:14) We invite you to contact us to learn more about the Bible’s message of hope.

It is an accurate interpretation of those Revelation passages based on the events since Revelation was written and the end times.
1 The revelation from Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show his servants what must soon take place. He made it known by sending his angel to his servant John, 2 who testifies to everything he saw—that is, the word of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ. 3 Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it, because the time is near.
Rattigan350:
How do you translate ''must soon take place'' to the year 1919?
How do you translate ''the time is near,'' to what took place in the early 1900's in Jehovah's Witness history?
How does ''two witnesses'' in Revelation 11 turn into eight Jehovah's Witnesses thrown in jail?
Why isn't the book of Revelation about the destruction of Rome?
Why would Jehovah's Witnesses understand what all symbolisms mean? Just like the United States Supreme Court need nine Judges to interpret the Constitution which was written 250 years ago, how can a group of men interpret a book that was written in code almost 2,000 years ago?
the time is at hand!

If eisegesis were a paintbrush the Watchtower would be DaVinci. It is not only the main tool of creating Watchtower doctrine, but it is a tool the Watchtower wields like a grandmaster.
And the trumpet blasts are talks or Declarations made in the 1920's at Cedar Point OH. WTF?
Questions From Readers
◼ When did the seven angelic trumpet blasts of Revelation begin to sound?
In Revelation chapters 8, 9, and Re 11, we read of seven angels who blew seven trumpets, heralding plagues of great intensity on portions of mankind. These represent proclamations of Jehovah’s judgments that have been publicized by Jehovah’s people throughout the time of the end starting notably with the Cedar Point convention of 1922.—See Revelation—Its Grand Climax At Hand!, chapters 21 to 23 and chapter 26.

STUDY ARTICLE 19
15 Satan instigated an attack on the anointed brothers who were taking the lead in the Kingdom-preaching work. Prominent ones among them were the figurative “two witnesses” spoken of as being killed. * (Rev. 11:3, 7-11) In 1918, eight of the responsible brothers were convicted on false charges, and each was sentenced to a long term of imprisonment. From a human standpoint, it appeared as if the work of these anointed ones had been “killed.”
16 The prophecy in Revelation chapter 11 also stated that the “two witnesses” would be brought back to life after a short period of time. In the fulfillment, something surprising happened in the very next year of their imprisonment. Early in 1919 those anointed brothers were released from prison, and later the charges were dropped. The brothers immediately got back to work—Kingdom work. But that did not stop Satan’s attacks on God’s people. Since that time, Satan has directed “a river” of persecution against all of God’s people. (Rev. 12:15) Truly, “this is where it calls for endurance and faith” on the part of each one of us.
20 We truly need to observe “the words of this prophecy” because we are included in the fulfillment of what we read in the book of Revelation
eisegesis :
An interpretation, especially of Scripture, that reflects the personal ideas or viewpoint of the interpreter; reading something into a text that isn't there.
What an awful interpretation of Revelation 11: 3, 7-11! Satan instigates an attack on ''two witnesses'' ( which according to the Watchtower Society become eight ), are ''spoken of as being killed'' ( according to the Watchtower Society, they are sentenced to imprisonment), and ''the two witnesses'' would be back to life ( they are released from prison). For some reason, Satan comes to the rescue to fulfill Watchtower Society prophecy!
(If you are to believe the book of Revelation, I do not ) Revelation is a cryptic book criticizing Rome, written by the apostle John to the 7 congregations he was in charge of. Jehovah's Witnesses were NOT included in the fulfillment in the book of Revelation! What a stretch of the imagination!
